"Less but effective results"
We care about reducing plastic use, reusing materials, and creating products that are easier to recycle. We pay attention to every step from design to the end of the product lifecycle
Serious plastic reduction: Our goal is to reduce petroleum-based plastic use by aiming to use at least 30% recycled plastic in core skincare products and reduce unnecessary packaging materials by 2030
We started reducing unnecessary plastic in popular products like 'Cream Skin' by changing from a long cap to a short cap, reducing plastic use in the cap by 12% compared to the previous model
Like the 'Lip Sleeping Mask' and 'Water Sleeping Mask', we removed the inner plastic cap piece to reduce plastic use

"Expansion of refill products"
Laneige supports a sustainable consumption culture by reducing wasteful resource use. Choosing refill products not only saves costs
But it also helps reduce resource use for packaging. We are expanding the product line that can be "refilled"
It can be refilled with product and "parts can be replaced"
The inner container can be continuously reassembled into the outer packaging
We have launched refill products in the Cream Skin and Water Bank lines, especially the Cream Skin refill which uses 90% less plastic than the original product

We understand that proper recycling, from collection to waste separation at the final stage of the product cycle, is extremely important
To make recycling easier, we have improved Cream Skin’s packaging with an 'Easy Peel Label' and transparent packaging
Laneige is committed to continuously improving our products to make recycling more convenient for consumers and to ensure that products are not discarded into landfills or incinerators but continue to circulate on this planet
